Who are we?

Le Viet Sandwich was created by a mother (Tea) and her son (Johnny). They had this idea of mainstreaming Vietnamese sandwiches but insisted on keeping its roots. Banh Mi takes its origin from the streets of Vietnam and has always been viewed by the Vietnamese community as an affordable delicious food. They insisted on keeping with the tradition and came up with a great concept where they could serve freshly made Banh Mi on the spot.  They since modified their menu by adding rice bowls and vermicelli salads.

The origins of Banh Mi?

Banh Mi in Vietnamese simply means "bread" in reference to the French baguette used to create a Banh mi.  You are probably wondering why there would be French baguettes in Vietnam. The answer is very simple. Vietnam used to be a French colony at the end of the 1800s until its liberation by the Japanese in 1945. The French influence is seen through the use of ham, pate and Vietnamese mayonnaise.
